At the heart of the Junior League of Collin County (JLCC) is volunteerism.  Since their inception 42 years ago, JLCC has contributed over 760,000 volunteer hours to the community through nonprofits serving Collin County. To celebrate and encourage volunteerism throughout the Collin County region, JLCC hosts the annual Excellence in Volunteer Service Awards to honor local volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and business volunteer programs that make important contributions and assist the residents of Collin County.  The keynote speaker, Dr. John Siburt of City Square will share ways the community can engage in fight the causes of poverty and homelessness.  The following individuals and organizations have been named finalists for the Excellence in Volunteer Service Awards to be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Aristide McKinney located in Craig Ranch.  Tickets are available.  Sponsors include Community Impact, Gittings, Market Street and Sewell Audi McKinney.
