Cross Timbers Dental announces Halloween Candy Buy-Back
All candy collected will be sent to US Military Troops

Flower Mound dentist Dr. Brad Revering and the Cross Timbers Dental team are redefining the phrase “put your money where your mouth is.” This Halloween, trick-or-treaters can “recycle” all that cavity-provoking candy, and receive $2 per pound (up to $10). Unopened candy will be collected at Cross Timbers Dental on Saturday, November 1 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., and during their normal business hours the week of November 3-7.
For the 3rd consecutive year, Cross Timbers Dental is partnering with Operation Gratitude to send all candy to U.S. Military personnel serving overseas. Last year, Cross Timbers Dental took in hundreds of pounds of candy to send to American troops along with dental supplies.
"Families want their children to enjoy the fun of trick-or-treating, but many are at a loss for what to do when they wind up with more candy than they want children to consume," Dr. Revering observed. "We think this program offers a terrific solution to this annual dilemma, and it's a win-win for our troops, as well," he said. “The local dental community is really behind this program,” he continues. “Several other dentists are helping us to defray the shipping costs to deliver the candy and dental supplies to our Troops.”
On Saturday November 1st, trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy to the Cross Timbers Dental office in Flower Mound and receive $2 per pound (up to $10) in exchange for their loot. Each participating child will also receive a goodie bag with healthy alternatives. Cross Timbers Dental will have supplies on hand for children to write a note to a service person, which will be sent along with the candy. Parents will be entered into a drawing for prizes donated by local merchants.
